Silroc - Fire Putty

Application

Silroc is a ready-to-use, plastic refractory putty/mouldable.

Classification

Silroc has a mean permanent linear change of 2% when fired to 1000°C (=CT). It is not advisable to use Silroc beyond a maximum service temperature of 1200°C (=MST).

Chemical Composition

Silroc is a very low iron, siliceous product having a typical Iron Oxide content of 0.5% and Silica content of 72.0%.

Packaging and Storage

Silroc is supplied in (a) 5 or 10 litre plastic pails, or (b) polythene bags in 40 x 25kg lots. These can then be shrink wrapped on pallets or in 'JAXPAL' boxes.
