Bauxitic Casting Pearls are produced by fusing, spraying, sieving and purifying high Alumina Calcined Bauxite to produce a very high quality casting sand. They can be used in casting all sizes of steel parts. The spherical shape produces high density material with excellent flow characteristics.
The surface of the spherical particles is glazed providing a very smooth surface that is easy to coat with resin.
Since Bauxitic Casting Pearls have a higher Mullite Phase Content than any other calcined casting sand, they are more refractory.
Uses
- Organic or inorganic self-hardening casting moulding - Furan and Alkali-Phenol resin moulding.
- Heat-hardening casting moulding - RCS moulding.
- Gas-hardening casting moulding - CO2 and Cold Box moulding.
