Hobencast 40 (L477D) - Monolithic Refractory Castable
ApplicationHobencast 40 is a dense castable, having a typical bulk density of 2100 kg/m3 when cast, at a ratio of 100 parts of water to 700 parts of Hobencast 40 and dried at 110°C. As a guide to yield, 2100kg will be needed for each cubic metre of placed material. ClassificationHobencast 40 has a maximum permanent linear change of -2% when fired to 1350°C (=CT). It is not advisable to use Hobencast 40 beyond a maximum service temperature of 1350°C (=MST). Grain SizeHobencast 40 has a maximum grain size of 8mm. Chemical CompositionHobencast 40 is an aluminous castable having a typical Alumina content of 40% and Iron Oxide content of 5%. Typical Properties
Packaging & StorageHobencast 40 is supplied in 25kg paper sacks, which should be kept dry and used in rotation. Exposure to moisture and prolonged storage will result in deterioration. |
