Micasil-C: Electro-thermal Insulation

Micasil-C is an electro-thermal insulation sheet. It is a flexible composite material consisting of phlogopite mica paper layers bonded with silicone resin.

Micasil-C is mainly recommended as slip plane insulation between the crucible and the induction coil in induction furnaces and other thermal applications.

Micasil-C protects the induction coil from the expansion forces of the refractory. Micasil-C has the lowest thermal conductivity of all the Micasil range of products. Micasil-C serves as a barrier against leakage currents and acts as a good vapour barrier.
