BR5 Mortar

Application

BR5 mortar is extra strong, high purity white cement for super duty firebrick. BR5 is an air setting aluminous refractory mortar supplied in a plastic, ready to use form.

Classification

It is not advisable to use BR5 beyond a maximum service temperature of 1600°C (=MST).

Composition

BR5 is an aluminous, low iron mortar having a typical Alumina content of 35.0% and Iron Oxide content of 1.0%.

Packaging & Storage

BR5 is supplied in 22.7 litre steel tubs, and 10 litre plastic tubs. Use in rotation and before three months from date of manufacture for optimum performance. Exposure to air and storage outside the temperature range of 25-5°C will result in deterioration.
