BR6 Mortar

Application

BR6 mortar is water retentive white cement for adhering insulating bricks and fibre blanket. BR6 is an air setting aluminous refractory mortar supplied in a plastic, ready to use form.

Classification

It is not advisable to use BR6 beyond a maximum service temperature of 1600°C (=MST).

Composition

BR6 is an aluminous, low iron mortar having a typical Alumina content of 35.0% and Iron Oxide content of 1.0%.

PACKAGING & STORAGE

BR6 is supplied in 22.7 litre steel tubs, and 5 litre plastic tubs. Use in rotation and before three months from date of manufacture for optimum performance. Exposure to air and storage outside the temperature range of 25-5°C will result in deterioration.
