Dupré Minerals manufacture Vermiculite products and grades for packaging. Vermiculite is ultra lightweight, inorganic, highly absorbent, inert and fireproof. It can easily poured around irregular shaped objects.

A useful baffle against impact shock and improper handling, expanded Vermiculite acts rather like the 'crumple zones' in cars - absorbing kinetic energy by crushing slightly, whilst retaining absorbency and sufficient particle integrity to continue to provide protection.

Exfoliated Vermiculite will retain liquids within the inter-laminar voids of the individual particles as well as between the particles themselves.

In addition to these properties, the dust suppressed pK Large grade provides for a cleaner, easy to remove packaging option.
